"Nature may seem at first glance random and free-flowing, but if you look on a microscopic level, you can find symmetry and geometry in almost all structures."
Biomimicry and Advanced Technology in Sustainable Soft Seating
Radiolaria is a full-scale, 3D-printed chair made from a single recycled material (PA12). Inspired by structures from nature, it combines flexibility, firmness, and adaptability without the need for glue, foam, or multiple materials. This biomimicry-based design offers an eco-friendly solution for modern seating through minimal material use and efficient energy consumption.
From natural structures to Furniture Innovation
Using cutting-edge 3D printing by Oceanz, the chair achieves complex form and function in a single production run. Radiolaria demonstrates how design, nature’s engineering, and technological innovation can merge to create high-performance, sustainable furniture. With 50% less production time and energy use than traditional methods, it embodies a new future for soft seating.
